Our Ethics are very close to our heart and always in our minds with everything we do. We have adopted Permaculture ethics and principles to help us design systems that work in a natural way.
Ingrained in the systems we design and the activities we provide we always follow these ethics:
Earth Care – Care for the Earth, Animals and all living things.
People Care – Care for people and their needs.
Fair Share - Set limits to consumption to the benefit of the Earth and people.
In order to put our Ethics into Action, we make certain choices when purchasing goods or services. It is very important to us to always make the most environmentally friendly option available. We also consider the transport and travel of items in order to reduce our environmental impact and to support as many local businesses as possible.
We consider the ethical practices of companies we deal with and always check out their Fair Shares and People Care credentials. For us buying locally supports our community and is fairer to everyone in the area working for our community and whenever we can we buy from local businesses.
Often this involves making a decision not to follow the most popular or the cheapest option. We never automatically choose the cheapest or most convenient option, we always support honest and best practice and take time to make an informed choice, with every purchase we make.
Here are some of the businesses we have purchased from or who have supported us since we began. We are happy to recommend them to you so we can all work together to make our environment greener and more sustainable in the long term.
