What We Do
The ALT Group is a volunteer lead organisation and a registered Community Interest Company. We offer regular community activities, free of charge, in Consett, County Durham and green the local area improving the environment for everyone. Our services are all inclusive, they are open to everyone and have a wonderful atmosphere of community spirit. Our projects are based around growing and sharing food and we hope to add more exciting health and well-being projects in the area soon.
Why We Need Support
In order to provide the services we do we rely upon funding from grants and trusts. Our current funding covers some of the costs of our charitable work and is often restricted, many of our other, ongoing costs we need to cover ourselves. This is where you can help.
We are currently in the process of expanding the business side of our enterprise so in the future we can become self sufficient. We want to move into bigger premises and create an online shop in order to make a profit that can be reinvested into our business and our community projects. All this takes funds as well as a lot of time and commitment from our dedicated volunteers. |
How Your Money is Spent
Any additional funds we are give are used to add paid staff from the local area, to create and fund more Transform projects for the area and start more free community events in Consett. Your funds help us to cover our running costs, such as rent, fuel, phone and electric as well as essential marketing, admin and website costs as well as training and develpment of our volunteers and staff, supporting members of our community.
